Check Out Krispy Kreme’s 3 New Halloween Donuts!

One of the things we do look forward to every year are the companies who roll out Halloween-themed goodies. Yeah, sure, MAYBE it makes us a little basic, but what’s not to love about pumpkin and cinnamon and clove?! This year, famed donut establishment Krispy Kreme released three new spooky season treats to celebrate the season of the witch.

So, like good journalists, we decided some research was in order.

Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

    • Bewitched Broomstick – A Kreme™ filled doughnut dipped in purple icing, decorated with an icing swirl and gold stars, and finished with a green buttercreme and pretzel “broomstick”.
    • Abra Cat Dabra – An Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and black sanding sugar and decorated like a cat with icing and sugar fondant eyes.
    • Enchanted Cauldron – A Glazed Chocolate Cake doughnut topped with Kreme™ and decorated like a cauldron with sprinkles and a pretzel “broomstick”.

We REALLY love the themed box this year. The spellbook design is adorable, and the colors really pop. This year’s flavors aren’t as exciting as the pumpkin options from 2020, we’re not gonna lie. But, if you’re a fan of the iconic glazed donut, you’ll probably enjoy this collection.

Krispy Kreme also has a new seasonal beverage on the menu too, the Caramel Apple Chiller.

So, visit your local store, and try the donuts out yourself.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
