Extremely popular manga and anime series “My Hero Academia” is the next title getting a live action adaptation. The big news from this past week is that Shinsuke Sato has been tapped to direct the project for Legendary Pictures.
Sato’s credits include 2016’s live action “Death Note” projects (NO NOT NETFLIX’S), “Inuyashiki,” “Bleach,” “Alice in Boderland,” and the award-winning “I Am a Hero.”
At present, “Academia” doesn’t have a writer attached.
Kohei Horikoshi created the manga, which routinely tops best-selling lists since it was first published in 2014.
You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll now.
