We are so freaking excited to see The Go-Go’s finally make the nomination list for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. The 2021 crop of possible additions to the Cleveland hallowed hall of Rock has several first-timers, some that’ll make you scratch your head, and absolutely deserving bands.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announces the Nominees for #RockHall2021 Induction – and the Fan Vote is now open. Watch the official announcement here, then head to https://t.co/9DIz8WWd6Z pic.twitter.com/tGuSzyvEYT

    — Rock Hall (@rockhall) February 10, 2021

    The nominees are:

    Mary J. Blige
    Kate Bush
    Devo
    Foo Fighters
    The Go-Go’s
    Iron Maiden
    Jay-Z
    Chaka Khan
    Carole King
    Fela Kuti
    LL Cool J
    New York Dolls
    Rage Against The Machine
    Todd Rundgren
    Tina Turner
    Dionne Warwick

As you can see, there are some absolute legends on that list, and it’s a little baffling they’re not already enshrined in the Rock Hall.

You can vote for up to 5 inductee hopefuls daily until April 30th 2021 on the official 2021 Fan Vote page here. (You will need to make a login to do so, though.)

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
