343 Industries has a new job listing for a producer on a “new project” in the “Halo” universe. Since the job listing states that the project is new we can surmise that probably not a continuation of work on “Halo Infinite” or “The Master Chief Collection.”
The listing states:
343 Industries is looking for a Producer to help develop a new project in the Halo universe. This is your chance to work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry with one of the industry’s most talented teams.
343 has been pretty dark as far as communicating with their fan base since they announced the delay of “Halo Infinite.” Some people are hoping that this job listing is not for fixing that but instead for a “Halo Wars 3.” But we have to report this cautiously because right now it’s possible it could be either.
“Halo Infinite” was supposed to be one of the big draws to purchasing an Xbox Series X. It had been an expected launch title but after careful consideration they decided to wait. The only thing we have is a release window of Fall 2021. Microsoft has not specified a hard date.
Chances are we’ll find out more when E3 goes digital later this year.
