Prepare for trouble and make it double! A special Team Rocket event is now live in “Pokémon GO.” During this event, trainers can take on Giovanni or one of the three Team Rocket leaders: Arlo, Sierra or Cliff for special rewards.

Attention, Trainers! It seems that Team GO Rocket has been collecting Strange Eggs! ??? As we go into the second part of our autumn event, here’s what we’ve learned about these Eggs so far! https://t.co/kBcXYfSKaD pic.twitter.com/rFtRvWniqX

    — Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) October 12, 2020

From now through October 19, battling and defeating these Team Rocket leaders will earn you new “strange eggs.” Unlike the regular eggs in the game, these ones have red polka dots. You will need to walk these eggs for 12 km to discover the Pokémon inside. Each eggs contains a particular Poison- or Dark-type Pokémon such as Vullaby, Trubbish, Scraggy or Larvitar. These eggs will continue to appear after the event ends. However, hatch distance is cut down by a quarter for any egg put in an incubator while the event is live.

Team Rocket grunts also have new Shadow Pokémon for trainers to rescue. Grunts will be utilizing Shadow versions of Aerodactyl, Skarmory, Diglett, Slowpoke and more. Meanwhile, leaders will use Shadow versions of Drowzee, Omanyte and Growlithe more frequently. During the event, there is also a chance to capture shiny versions of these Shadow Pokémon. If you can find and defeat the big boss Giovanni, you will get a Shadow version of Mewtwo. Additionally, a special Team Rocket research questline is available with a multitude of great rewards.

Of course, no “Pokémon GO” event is complete without particular Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild. For this event, you can find Gulpin, Stunky, Purrloin, Houndour, Spinarak and Poochyena all over the place.

So get out there and send Team Rocket blasting off again!
