If you haven’t seen this movie stop what you are doing and watch it right now. Velocipastor is on Amazon and you can stream it for free. It will not disappoint and it’s a great movie to watch with your friends. And now it’s getting a sequel! Get ready for some more righteous dinosaur purifying!
Velocipastor for those of you who are unfortunate to have never seen it is an amazing film made with a budget of just $35,000 in 2017. It was a limited release on DVD/Blu-Ray and yes even VHS in 2019. Luckily though as I mentioned if you have Amazon you can watch it for free right now and not have to hunt it down.
The plot is amazing. “After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. At first horrified by this new power, a hooker convinces him to use it to fight crime. And ninjas.”
Here are some of the best parts and things to look out for. First of all the names are great. Frankie Mermaid is “swimming in bitches”. The hooker friend only turns tricks to support herself as she becomes a doctor/lawyer. The pastor is so conflicted that he drives to China somehow in a days time and meets up with Ninja’s. And if you think that that tiny bit of information has spoiled the film for you then my friend, you are mistaken. There are so many layers to this amazing movie it’s like an onion. A comedy onion that you won’t want to stop peeling away at. I probably watched this 8 different times in a week just so I could show it to new groups of people.
And now we’re getting a sequel!
Director Brendon Steere who is responsible for this amazing film tweeted out the first printing of the script for part two. It’s there in black and white!
Wondering why there aren’t that many likes or retweets? Well that’s because this film has become kind of an underground cult classic. Think along the lines of The Room only much funnier. Or at least in my opinion anyway.
You are definitely going to want to keep an eye on it’s progress. I know I will be. You can follow the director on twitter by clicking the link here.
