    New Final Fantasy VII Remake Screenshots Show Tifa, Red XIII, and Side Quests

    April 10 is less than two months away and the anticipation for Final Fantasy 7 Remake continues to grow. Longtime and new fans alike can’t wait for the opportunity to explore one of the most famous gaming narratives of all time on next gen consoles. To hold us over until release day, Square Enix has released a slew of new screenshots. These shots show off Red XIII, the sinister Hojo, multiple summons, and Tifa in combat.

    Red XIII: “I am that which you see before you. Nothing more.”

    As Director of Shinra Electric Power Company’s Research and Development Division, Hojo will stop at nothing to complete his experiments.

    Aerith uses the spell Regen to gradually heal a target.

    Cloud using the Deadly Dodge Materia to counter strike.

    Square Enix’s screenshots gave special attention to Tifa and her abilities in combat. They show off Tifa using her martial arts skills to unleash quick combo attacks.


    Whirling Uppercut

    Rise and Fall emphasizes how quickly Tifa deals blows in combat.

    Omnistrike

    Of course, the shots also show off side quests that will be available in Midgar. They also show some of the summons that will help Cloud and company on their journey.

    Chadley is researching new types of Materia and wants to enlist Cloud to help him.

    Did you pre-order Final Fantasy 7? Well, good news! You will get the Chocobo Chick summon to deal a serious magical punch to foes.

    You can see the full list of screenshots on PlayStation’s official blog. Hopefully, the images will help tide you over until we get our hands on the game on April 10. It’s a long wait, but it will certainly be worth it.
