Librarians Troll Patrons With New Display

When I worked at Hollywood Video and Blockbuster(yes I’m that old) one of the biggest pet peeves was when people would come up and ask me about the movie they were thinking of. It was always “The cover was this color” or “I think it was about a guy and a girl”. Well uh, hate to break it to you but most movies have people in them so you’re going to have to be a little more specific. Anyway Librarians who were seemingly fed up with the same kind of questions that I got, created a wonderful display of books so that patrons could peruse by the descriptions in their minds.

Lolz my library did this too. I took a photo because we used to get this question all the time when I worked at a bookstore. pic.twitter.com/QDeZ8hvG0W

What drives people that work in libraries crazy more than not knowing what you’re talking about? Well nothing! Librarians and those with minds like them will ponder what you just asked until they get it. And sometimes we succeed!

And it’s always nice to know that others are going through the exact same thing I was years ago.

Libraries are finding more and more ways to keep people engaged and this clever display of books is just one of them. Check your local libraries for fun activities and events throughout the year. And please support them!
