Fan’s of breaking bad are rejoicing in the announcement of a Breaking Bad movie! Announced by the creator Vince Gilligan, the show will finally receive the movie that fan’s of the series, like myself, have been waiting for.
The movie is set to not only being aired on AMC but it will actually premiere on the popular streaming service, Netflix. As reported by Deadline, the Breaking Bad movie is going to air on both AMC, where the show originally air, as well as Netflix. The report also suggests that the movie will actually be doing things differently than they did the first time around; instead of airing on AMC first, the movie will most likely debut Netflix before airing on AMC sometime afterwards.
Star of the show, Bryan Cranston, confirmed that the was a movie in the works but declined to answer whether or not his beloved character, Walter White, would be returning to take back is empire. Which could be hard considering Spoiler Alert he dies in the last season.
The movie will focus on Jesse after the events of the Breaking Bad finale. So Aaron Paul will definitely be returning. Gilligan will be both writing and directing the movie and is being joined by producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.
We still don’t have a date for the release but we are hopeful it will drop sometime early this year.
