    Nintendo Rejects Bowsette as Canon

Last year with the announcement of Super Mario U for the Nintendo Switch came a new item that got everyone talking. The item was the super crown which would be able to turn Toadette into a princess called Peachette. The general consensus was that if Toadette could turn into a princess while wearing it then everyone should, including Bowser. Then came the birth of Bowsette…

With updated descriptions to the game page it appears that Nintendo is completely ignoring the concept of Bowsette and sticking with the original plan. Unfortunately that means that the only character that can use the crown is Toadette. So while not officially declaring that Bowsette is not canon they did it in an indirect way with the item description.

“When Toadette finds one of these, she can transform into the super-powered Peachette. (Sorry Luigi- only Toadette can use this item!)” Sorry Luigi indeed, should read sorry Bowser.

I’m hoping that it isn’t out of the question completely but for the moment it seems that Bowsette will have to remain the subject of fan-art and fantasies.

What do you think of Bowsette? Should she be Canon? Tell us in the comments!
