DC’s Birds Of Prey Coming Soon, Very Soon

The way DC has been making headlines the past couple weeks it’s almost as if Warner Brothers is fully committed to reinstating the glory of the once hailed comic book universe.

To add to the growing number of announcements this month, Variety.com reported on September 24th that DC’s female led ensemble project Birds Of Prey will arrive in theaters on February 7th 2020. Only fourteen or so months away. It will be here before we know it.

Director Cathy Yan will bring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn together with the likes of Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya to battle a crime boss who has yet to be revealed. You can begin the speculation now… I’d put money on Black Mask. The Penguin would be an obvious choice but it walks the line of being very on the nose. Just my opinion.

Production is rumored to begin in early 2019 which gives the crew less than a year to get this movie to the big screen. I’d expect some major casting announcements sooner than later.

It’s important to note that Birds Of Prey is going to get rolling long before Suicide Squad 2 and the Harley Quinn/Joker spin off. I’d expect the fate of those two projects to correlate with the success of Birds Of Prey.
