D4vd Charged with First Degree Murder for Dismembered Teen Found in Tesla

Do you remember that horrible news last year about the teen found dismembered in a Tesla in Hollywood? Well there’s been an update about who and what they will be charged with. Singer D4vd is going to be charged with first degree murder among other serious charges involving the crime.

D4vd, whose real name is David Burke is a 21-year-old singer. The up and coming (or at least was up and coming) star has been legally linked with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The teen was discovered in an impounded Tesla registered to Burke last year in September of 2025.

Authorities were alerted after a foul odor led to the discovery of her body inside the vehicle. Celeste had previously been reported missing in 2024. There’s no easy way to say this, the discovery of the missing teen became even more tragic as more details were revealed.

    Numerous Other Charges

Burke now faces multiple serious charges, including murder, along with additional allegations tied to abuse and the handling of human remains. Specifically these special circumstances are as follows: lying in wait; committing the crime for financial gain; murdering a witness; lewd acts with a child, as well as dismemberment of the 15-year-old girl’s body. Officials have described the case as deeply disturbing. Claiming the crime involved extreme violence and was carried out in an effort to silence the victim.

The timeline of events has raised questions. Particularly regarding the gap between the discovery of the body and Burke’s arrest in April 2026. Investigators have implied that the delay was due to the complexity of the case. Extensive forensic analysis was needed along with witness cooperation.

Burke has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently being held without bail. His defense team maintains his innocence, while prosecutors continue building their case. If convicted, he could face life in prison or even the death penalty under California law.
