Benedict Cumberbatch Teases 3rd “Doctor Strange” Movie

Maybe it wasn’t your biggest Marvel Studios question going into 2025, but, what about more Benedict Cumberbatch and Doctor Steven Strange? According to the actor, it won’t be happening during “Avengers Doomsday.” BUT, but, a third Sorcerer Supreme solo film may be in the cards after that.

    Marvel Studios

According to Cumberbatch, Doctor Strange does not align with the “Doomsday” part of the story, so he won’t be a part of that particular film. “Is that a spoiler?” he quipped to Variety. “Fuck it!”

“He’s quite central to where things might go,” Cumberbatch said, before hinting Strange would appear in a third stand-alone film. “They [Marvel Studios] are very open to discussing where we go next. Who do you want to write and direct the next one? What part of the comic lore do you want to explore so that Strange can keep evolving? He’s a very rich character to play. He’s a complex, contradictory, troubled human who’s got these extraordinary abilities, so there’s potent stuff to mess about with.”

Considering the end of “Multiverse of Madness” FINALLY saw the introduction of character Clea (Charlize Theron), we are really hoping for a third Doctor Strange film.

The next chapter of the MCU “Captain America: Brave New World” hits theaters February 13th, 2025.

Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
