The Bahama Islands is the ultimate destination for families, who could opt for a yacht charter vacation trip. It boasts of clear blue water, sandy beaches, and there are many activities to do around the islands. Whether you are looking at an exclusive island view or swimming in the beautiful waters, there is something unique about the Bahamas.

If organizing a trip for your family, it is possible to choose an appropriate yacht charter that would be suitable for adults and children. Everything starting from the selection of the proper yacht type to planning of entertaining events is thought through. Follow these steps to plan an amazing family vacation to the Bahamas that includes fun and relaxation for the entire family.

Factors to Consider While Choosing Family Yacht Charter Bahamas

The first thing to consider when organizing a yacht charter for families in the Bahamas is selecting a proper boat. Depending on the size of the family, and probable requirements, you can hire motor yachts, catamarans, or sail yachts. Finding a yacht that has all the necessities for families such as comfortable cabins, safety features, video game consoles, or water sports equipment is important. Some of the yachts have a kids’ menu to order from, and there are crew members who can engage kids through the journey.

Choose Attractive Destinations that You and Your Family Would Enjoy

The Bahamas has about 700 islands, which gives the destination a range of activities that would be appropriate for families. Be sure to include stops that cater to both adults and children, such as:

    a. Exuma Cays

Exuma Cays is a favorite among yacht charter Bahamas travelers because of the crystal clear water and swimming pigs. Children will enjoy it because they will be swimming with these friendly animals, while parents can opt to sun bake on some of the isolated sandy beaches.

    b. Nassau

It has historical sightseeing, markets and the Atlantis Paradise Island with a water park and marine exhibit.

    c. Andros Island

Also famous for its abundant sea-life, Andros is perfect for Snorkelling and shallow diving – a perfect family activity that can bring families together while enjoying the underwater world.

    d. Abaco Islands

Especially good for kayaking trips, beach barbeques, and shell gathering, Abacos are ideal for families who are seeking a secluded beach experience.

Pack Essentials for a Safe and Enjoyable Yacht Charter Bahamas

Considering that this is a trip involving children, safety is a major concern at all times. Do not forget to pack some sun screens, caps and light dresses for everyone in an effort to protect them from the scorching sun. When traveling with infants and toddlers, take along life jackets, floaties and any medicine that the children might need. Do not forget to take along toys like books, games, and tablets for the periods that you may find yourself bored during the trips that you make.

Some of the privately owned yacht charters in the Bahamas also offer equipment that is suited for children like paddle boards, sea kayaks and snorkeling gear, among others.
