This is one of those times we really wish we could be like ‘other outlets’ and share set photos. The reasons we DON’T do that are numerous and annoying, so we won’t bore you with that. But, there is something revealed this week that’s rather heartwarming. In set photos taken on James Gunn‘s upcoming “Superman” from for DC Studios, a certain person was was seen.
Will Reeve, son of the late Christopher and Dana Reeve, was spotted along with Gunn. While there has been no confirmation of Will’s involvement, internet sleuths and fans seem pretty convinced it’s him. [These photos are easily searchable on X (formerly Twitter) and other spots online.]
Obviously Christopher Reeve played the Last Son of Krypton, Clark Kent, Kal-El, Superman in Richard Donner‘s landmark 1978 film, “Superman.” He reprised the role in “Superman II,” “Superman III,” and “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.”
We absolutely LOVE the idea of Will being involved, and we look forward to seeing how that works out.
Gunn wrote and is directing the film, which is currently filming in Cleveland, Ohio. It stars David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicolas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olson, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Isabella Merced as Hawkgirl, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Wendell Pierce as Daily Planet editor Perry White, Prutti Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern.
“Superman” currently has a release date of July 11th, 2025.
