    Travis Knight’s “Masters of the Universe” Movie Gets Release Date

    While we don’t have a lot of information, we do know that Mattel’s upcoming live-action “Masters of the Universe” film has a release date. Amazon MGM has dated it for summer of 2026. There also isn’t like…you know…a cast yet. BUT, we do know Travis Knight (“Bumblebee“) will be helming, from a script by “Kubo and the Two Strings” writer Chris Butler.


     An early logline for the film reads:

    “10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

    The yet-untitled film has a currently released date of June 5th, 2026.
