Okay. This is one of those stories that seems to be from another era. Yes, we are glad to see actress Lindsay Lohan making a comeback after some trying times. No, this isn’t how we were expecting her current filmography to go. The “Freaky Friday” star has recently headed two films for Netflix, and even had a cameo in the recent movie musical version of “Mean Girls.” But THIS? This is kinda big.
US Weekly recently ran a story detailing several ‘sources’ close to Lohan, with various tidbits of news. Perhaps the biggest and most surprising among those is mention of possible talks with Marvel Studios.
“She’s also expressed interest in joining the Marvel universe,” US Weekly says. “A source tells US she’s in talks to play a vixen superhero.”
So, while that’s not really the most concrete of sources, it’s an interesting idea. Who, pray tell, could she possibly be in talks to play? With the “Fantastic Four” finally happening, could it be someone in that lexicon? What about a character in the upcoming “Thunderbolts” film?
We have some ideas, but none of them really seem…right for her.
