Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery Merger Not Happening

This just in-

it looks like one of the big possible mergers in Hollywood isn’t happening. This is mostly a good thing, especially considering how things at Warner Bros. Discovery have been going lately with shelving of projects just for tax breaks. In case you were unaware, rumors began circulating that WBD was looking to acquire Paramount Global and it’s assets.

Following today’s share price of Paramount plummeting, its not surprising to see WBD stepping away from the table.

We think this is good, because there’s no way in HELL we want to see WBD CEO David Zaslav anywhere near the catalog of “Star Trek” properties, which are under Paramount. Not to mention an ongoing lawsuit between Paramount and WBD over “South Park.”
