We are very sorry to report the news that author and “FRIENDS” star Matthew Perry has died. TMZ broke the news that Perry was found Saturday at a home in the Los Angeles area. They were told he appeared to have drowned. Paramedics were first called over on a call of cardiac arrest. Their sources say that he was found in a jacuzzi at the home and were also told that there were no drugs found at the scene. They were also informed that there was no suspected foul play involved.

Perry was most known for his sarcastic disposition in the role of Chandler Bing on “FRIENDS” but was also a big part of 90’s pop culture overall. “Fools Rush In” where he starred as the romantic lead with Salma Hayek grossed $42 million worldwide at the box office and won multiple awards. Perry was nominated in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series along with his co-star in “FRIENDS” Matt LeBlanc.

Whether you watched “FRIENDS” or not a part of pop culture history is hurting now with his loss. Our hearts go out to his friends and family that are left behind. While Perry never married, he was was engaged to Molly Hurwitz for a short period of time.

    Perry was was 54.

An autopsy will be conducted to rule out cause of death. With the mention that there were no drugs found on scene it makes more sense that this was due to a cardiac event. Perry was known to struggle with narcotics in the past and had several other health issues which lead to him being hospitalized previously.
