We all know that a place with the slogan “The Happiest Place on Earth” is automatically cursing themselves. The phrase has been used sarcastically about Disneyland, generally when guest behavior is at an all-time low. Or in the event of many a crying child. But the magic kingdom has been experiencing significantly bad behavior in recent times, across almost every single location. The most recent was a video showing a guest wading through the waters of Pirates of the Caribbean with a baby after the ride broke down. Apparently they were too impatient to wait for park associates to help.

“Now, Nerdbot,” you might ask, “what else was he supposed to do?” If you’ve been to Disneyland, you’ve probably been evacuated from a ride at least once. Well, in Pirates of the Caribbean, Cast Members in waders come with planks for the boats, to avoid guests getting wet. But apparently that simply took too much time out of this fellow’s busy day to bother with. To say nothing of park etiquette being completely unobserved, it’s really just plain rude. We hope his soggy shoes resulted in supreme discomfort the rest of the day.
Disneyland continues to be plagued by guests with bad behavior
Disneyland has been experiencing a really bad run of park guests being pills lately. From a slew of fights breaking out between guests, to flying a drone illegally over Frontierland. This extends to behavior that could cause potential property damage: lounging in fountains, harassing topiaries, leaping onto parade floats. It’s been pretty bad lately. There seems to be a significant increase in entitlement within the population, and a complete disregard for rules put in place for a reason.
