Along the 29 Palms Highway that runs through Joshua Tree in CA, you may encounter the one and only Cheez-It pit stop. If one were to drive by this and not know it existed it would definitely seem like a mirage but alas, it’s very real. It feels very exciting for those who live out that way. As someone who grew up in Yucca Valley which is right next to Joshua Tree, I can only imagine the hype that locals have. I mean, we were excited when they put in an Applebees, a Cheez-It stop? Heck Yes!
Anyone traveling on the 29 Palms Highway for whatever reason is going to love seeing this. Especially if you have hungry kids or a hangry spouse in the car.
The stop will have a plethora of cool things to do like fill up your car with Cheez it pouches right from the pump. There will exclusive merchandise like T-Shirts featuring wolves howling at a Cheez-It-moon t-shirts, cheezy shot glasses and retro postcards. And there will be those super hard to find Cheez-It flavors like Hot & Spicy or Bacon & Cheddar Duoz. Not to mention the amazing Instagrammable photo spots littered around the shop.
The pit stop is only going to be there for a week so within the blink of an eye it will be gone. Starting today (June 5th) to Sunday June 11th from the hours of 10am to 6 pm you’ll be able to visit the site. If you want to see this in person to take pictures to keep as proof it existed you better start on your summer road trip soon!
