Daily Dune: First Teaser for “Part Two” Shows Feyd

SHAI HULUD! We are finally getting our first look at the upcoming film “Dune: Part Two.” Director Denis Villeneuve’s sequel just got a first look teaser, which shows some VERY important faces.

While the teaser is short, we do see new footage of Muad Dib (Paul) placing a thumper, probably to call a large sandworm. You know, ala “Usul, we have wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen.”

    Some highlights from the teaser:

Paul (Timothée Chalamet), Chani (Zendaya), Stilgar (Javier Bardem), Beast Rabban (Dave Bautista), Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), Gurney (Josh Brolin), Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), and Feyd Rautha (Austin Butler).

“He’s someone Machiavellian, much more cruel, much more strategic and is more narcissistic,” Villeneuve told Vanity Fair. Whereas Beast Rabban “wants to please.” “He wants to please the baron. He wants to shine in front of his uncle, but there’s something touching about Rabban because he’s a bad strategist. He’s not very intelligent. Rabban finds himself, at the end of part one, in the position where he doesn’t have the brain to be able to manage and control all these operations. Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen is a very clever, very charismatic figure, and much more brilliant.”

ALSO, we’re getting an official trailer TOMORROW.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
