We had to read that a couple times. Nissin Foods has released a new limited flavor of Cup Noodles. Breakfast flavored. Combining the flavor of maple syrup, pancakes, eggs, and sausage, Nissin is hoping to make their noodles appropriate for all times of day. Though…just because they could doesn’t necessarily mean they should.
It’s hard to imagine Cup Noodles without its trademark flavor. It tasting of sweetness and breakfast flavors is almost bizarre to think about. Then again, Nissin doesn’t seem to be against trying to infuse their noodles with interesting flavors. In 2021, they released a Pumpkin Spice flavored Cup Noodles as well.

Priscila Stanton, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Nissin Foods USA, believes wholeheartedly in their flavor. “We know our products are a go-to meal any time of the day…By adding Cup Noodles Breakfast to our lineup we are truly feeding cravings around the clock — morning, noon, night or late night.”
The new Cup Noodles launched March 29th, but are currently only available at select Walmart stores across the US. The noodles are no less affordable than their standard fare, priced at $1.18 a cup, which is what makes them so popular as a staple of hard-working college-goers and sleepy high-schoolers.
We still can’t help but feel a little concerned about the flavors of a diner breakfast made into a noodle soup. Similar to Flamin’ Hot Cheetos-flavored Mountain Dew, there are some things that just seem too different to work. Though sweet and savory is certainly a favorite, we’ll have to try this one for ourselves.
