Ransacking for some of the very awe-inspiring Scientific Fiction movies on Hulu? We have already done this exasperating task for you. Following the footsteps of Netflix and Amazon Prime, Hulu is an on-demand movie streaming platform owned by Disney with 48 million subscribers worldwide. Here, you can watch over 2000+ movies and 50,000+ episodes from thousands of TV Shows. You can easily find these astounding itemized Sci-fi movies to watch on Hulu.

    1) Source Code (2011)

    Director: Duncan Jones

    Writer: Ben Ripley

Star cast: Jake Gyllenhaal / Michelle Monaghan / Vera Farmiga

    IMDB Rating: 7.5

    Runtime: 1hr 33 min

Source code is a science fiction action thriller directed by Duncan Jones. The cast comprises extremely talented superstars with the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, who has been the man to watch in this movie. Other co-stars include Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga, who have also done justice to the given characters.

The movie is fast-paced and suspenseful. The direction and the cinematography itself are a work of genius that will leave you flabbergasted. Gyllenhaal has been portrayed as a patriotic superhero, of course, without his superhero costume but proving to be the savior of his country. With a sublime screenplay and a twist of events, the source code does have a first-rate ending to the plot.

    2) Looper (2012)

    Director: Rian Johnson

    Writer: Rian Johnson

Star cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt / Bruce Willis / Emily Blunt

    IMDB Rating: 7.4

    Runtime: 1hr 59 min

As right as rain, Looper is a movie that is a work of the future. Based on a real story, this movie is a cat-mouse chase that is highly entertaining and loaded with action scenes. The movie’s plot is regarding the existence of time traveling in future societies, but it’s only available to those payable to the black market. Unwanted personnel is sent back to their past by the mob, where a hit man called Looper kills them.

Joe, played by Gordon Levitt, becomes a target of his boss, who plans to kill his own older self, played by the brilliant Bruce Willis. Like two peas in a pod, both of them can be seen chasing and escaping each other’s grip. The movie has interesting plot twists and paradoxes that will leave your eyes on stalks.

    3) Children of Men (2006)

    Director: Alfonso Cuarón

Writer: Alfonso Cuarón / Timothy J. Sexton/ David Arata

Star cast: Julianne Moore / Clive Owen / Chiwetel Ejiofor

    IMDB Rating: 7.9

    Runtime: 1hr 49 min

Children of men is a movie that proves there is no accounting for taste. A future predicting tale that indicates how women will suffer from infertility and its harmful effects will affect mankind in the future.

In the state of global apocalypse, a disillusioned bureaucrat (Clive Owen) agrees to transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary and plays a heroic role in saving the last remaining hope of the planet Earth from danger. Along the way, the viewer experiences a wide spectrum of sentimental feelings and relativity.

    4) Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009)

Director: Phil Lord & Christopher Miller

Writer: Phil Lord(written for the screen by)

Christopher Miller(written for the screen by)

Judi Barrett(based upon the book written by)

Star cast: Anna Faris(voice)/ Bill Hader(voice)/ Bruce Campbell(voice)

    IMDB Rating: 6.9

    Runtime: 1hr 30 min

This listing will look fragmented without including this stupendous on-screen animated science fiction movie. Sony Pictures Animation dropped this movie and instantly went up the ranks due to its magnificent storyline and enchanting character sketching.

The work of animation and humorous events in the movie are extremely alluring and enjoyable to watch. The ideal movie is about food falling down the skies like rain, reflecting the solution to world hunger. If it happens, everyone will get as much as they want all the time, that too free of cost.

    5) 28 Days Later (2002)

    Director: Danny Boyle

    Writer: Alex Garland

Star cast: Cillian Murphy/ Naomie Harris/ Christopher Eccleston

    IMDB Rating: 7.5

    Runtime: 1hr 53min

The majority of us know Cillian Murphy because of his charismatic roleplay in the Peaky Blinders. But you get to know that he has been equally brilliant in this movie too. 28 days Later is a horror rather than a thriller. The narrative is about the spread of an incurable virus throughout the United Kingdom, affecting a large number of people. Jim, played by Cillian Murphy, is a bike courier who wakes up from a coma after a month and finds out that his city is deserted and in shambles. He tries to find some semblance of hope. Eventually, he ends up finding a group of unaffected people whom he joins on a precarious journey to ensure safety.

    6)The Core (2003)

    Writer: Cooper Layne/ John Rogers

Star cast: Aaron Eckhart / Hilary Swank / Delroy Lindo

    IMDB Rating: 5.5

    Runtime: 2hr 15min

Released over two decades ago, the core has not received enough regard from the public due to its irrational storyline. Although the movie itself is extra exceptional work, it takes you through an illimitable geological jaunt. The movie’s theme is regarding the malfunctioning of the Earth’s core which affects the atmosphere too. A Geophysicist (Aaron Eckhart) considers it and forms a team that aims to detonate a device into the Earth’s core that will restore its functioning. The movie keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, while the fast pace will make you knock your socks off.

    7) The Shape of Water (2018)

    Director: Guillermo del Toro

Writer: Guillermo del Toro / Vanessa Taylor

To all marine lovers, this is an Eyebrow Raiser! The shape of the water covers a story of fondness between a working woman in a laboratory and a mysterious, scaled creature from South America that lives in water. After learning about the cruel plans of a government agent for that creature, that woman (laboratory cleaner) named Elisa plans to help him get away with the evil intentions.

The ending will leave you pleased as a punch, as the creature jumps into the water along with Elisia and gives her gills so she can breathe underwater. The movie concludes with both of them living together happily after.

    8) War of the Worlds (2005)

    Director: Steven Spielberg

Writer: Josh Friedman / David Koepp/ H.G. Wells

Star cast: Tom Cruise /Dakota Fanning/ Tim Robbins

    IMDB Rating: 6.5

    Runtime: 1hr 56min

Casting the cream of the crop, War of the World is the best thing since sliced bread. Tom Cruise & 1-time Oscar-winning Tim Robbin can be seen in the movie providing heart-winning individual performances.

The movie is about a family willing to counter alien invasion over humanity and fight resiliently. Another social issue that has been discussed in this movie is the problems faced by dysfunctional families. The movie is one of a kind and will make you feel connected with the script.

    9) Looking Glass (2018)

    Director: Tim Hunter

    Writer: Jerry Rapp

Star cast: Nicolas Cage/ Robin Tunney/ Marc Blucas

    IMDB Rating: 4.6

All-time favorite Hollywood cult Nicholas Cage is the spotlight of this movie in which he can be seen buying a strange desert motel along with his wife, grieving the demise of their child. The couple moves into the motel just to find out that the place is somewhat mysterious and uncanny.

In a train of unusual events Ray, played by Nicolas Cage, finds out a dark secret associated with the place and strives hard to find his missing wife. This movie is a must-watch because of its rollercoaster ride, which highlights the war between Imagination and reality.

    10) Logan (2017)

    Director: James Mangold

Writer: James Mangold/ Scott Frank / Michael Green
