If you love “Star Wars” and Disneyland, we have some great news for you! One of the more popular theme nights at the Anaheim theme park is returning in 2023. Disneyland After Dark Star Wars Nite is happening across four dates- May 2nd, May 4th, May 8th, and May 11th. May the 4th has been celebrated as official ‘Star Wars Day’ for several years, owing to it’s phonetically mirroring “May the Force Be With You.”

Star Wars Nite requires a special event ticket, which DOES allow you Disneyland park access beginning at 6pm. Regular guests without the event ticket are ushered out, and it becomes a special private party inside Disneyland from 9pm to 1am!

    • Immerse yourself in music plucked from the Star Wars films as the “Star Wars: Celebrate the Nite” fireworks show illuminates the skies above Disneyland.
    • Fly the Millennium Falcon and join the fight against evil with access to ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and other attractions.
    • Learn the ways of the Jedi and the art of defense in the Lightsaber Instructional demonstration.
    • Explore themed snacks such as galactic churros and other out-of-this-world sweets!
    • Watch out for Captain Phasma and her stormtroopers during the March of the First Order in Tomorrowland, stop for photo ops on themed backdrops with your favorite heroes and villains, and cross paths with denizens from around the galaxy including Tusken Raiders and Jawas.

We went last year, and it was TONS of fun.

A limited number of tickets will go on presale for Magic Key holders on February 21st at Disneyland.com, with additional tickets available to the general public on February 23rd.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
