Jay Leno Suffers Another Accident- Multiple Broken Bones

Comedian and television mainstay Jay Leno isn’t having a great time with vehicles this year. You’ll remember he was injured in an accident involving a fire in his garage. He suffered third degree burns on the left side of his face. He was rushed by ambulance to a nearby burn center. Sometime between his release date from the hospital and now, he was in another accident.

72-year old Jay Leno suffered multiple broken bones in a motorcycle accident just earlier this month. “That was the first accident,” he said. “Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle. So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps.”

He didn’t want to cause a commotion, after how much press his garage incident had. “You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free,” Leno said. “After that, you’re Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You just want to keep your head down [laughs].”

So what happened? He was riding a 1940 Indian Motorcycle, and noticed the smell of gas. Since fire is not his friend, he decided he should stop the bike and inspect what was going on. Unfortunately, the route he took cut through a parking lot that had a wire strung across it.

“I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it,” Leno said. “So, you know, I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clothesline me and, boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.”

We do hope whatever injuries Jay Leno has heal quickly.
