MTN DEW Releases Limited Holiday Flavor- Fruit Quake

Mountain Dew, rebranded to MTN DEW, has released a limited edition 2022 holiday flavor called fruit quake. The beverage is supposed to be reminiscent of a classic holiday staple, fruit cake. A typical fruit cake has nuts, holiday spices, and fruit. This new drink does not contain nuts or any nut flavoring.

I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted a fruit cake if I’m being honest here, so I’m not sure I’d be good for comparing the traditional treat to MTN DEW’s new limited holiday flavor. The reviews online have been mixed. Some love the new flavor, and others are disappointed in themselves for even trying it.

This is a brand new flavor, and the fourth in MTN DEW’s holiday line. It’s predecessors are Holiday Brew, Merry Mash-Up, Gingerbread Snap’d, and now Fruit Quake. There’s also a rumor next year’s flavor will be called Cobra Cane, but we’ll see when the time comes.

Like most sodas, this flavor has a ton of sugar, and it doesn’t look like there is a sugar-free option. So drink at your own discretion. If you’re having trouble locating some to try, use MTN DEW’s handy store locator feature.
