The 2022 Game Awards are in full swing. And we couldn’t be more excited to see what new debuts are coming our way. So you can imagine the sound of the crowd at the announcement of “Hades II.” The hushed crowd tried to contain their excited hoots as a silhouetted young woman trains with a sorceress. With familiar bright orange feet and a glowing crown of olive leaves, there’s no doubt she’s Zagreus’ daughter.
They could no longer hold their silence as she opened her eyes to reveal those trademark heterochromatic eyes. While the first “Hades” had you escaping from the underworld, you look to be traveling back into it and straight to Tartarus to destroy Kronos and potentially rescue an imprisoned Hades. At least, that’s our assumption from a first look.
“Hades” is immensely popular and stands out as a roguelike that gets its hooks into everyone who plays it. There’s something for everyone. Progressive story-telling that evolves as you continue to die over and over again. Romancing characters like a visual novel. As well as an array of weapons and abilities to choose from. Plus, it’s just hard enough to present a challenge.
That doesn’t even cover the incredible visuals and character designs combined with immensely fun gameplay. Knowing how enjoyable “Hades” is, we can only imagine how fun “Hades II” is going to be. While there’s no release date yet, it looks like early access will be available in 2023. This is one we’ll wait with baited breath for!
