Can Bernedoodles Be Good Indoor Dogs?

More and more, people are letting their dogs stay with them in their houses, and this is always fun because then you have a cute little furry roommate! However, along with this is the downsides of having a dog live with you in your house.

Having a dog live with you in your house takes a lot of work, but Schnoodle puppies for sale can be a delightful addition to your family with the right care. You have to potty train them, you have to clean up after their shedding, and they can sometimes smell pretty bad. However, if you address these issues when choosing the perfect breed, you will hardly feel the stress of owning a dog.

One breed that does especially well living indoors is a Bernedoodle. If you are looking for a reputable breeder to get a Bernedoodle from, here are some Bernedoodle puppies for sale from the best breeder out there.

    Potty Training

One of the main reasons why people dislike having dogs live in the house is because potty training a puppy is a lot of work. Training will go smoother and be easier with breeds like bernedoodles, who are smarter. However, no matter what breed you get, you must consistently work with them to help them understand the process.

As long as you stay consistent and pay attention to your dog, potty training will go a lot smoother, and you don’t have to let your dog go to the bathroom in the house to teach them. The easiest way to potty train your dog is by taking them to the bathroom right after they wake up and fifteen minutes after every meal or after they drink water.

Once the puppy is a few weeks old, you can usually tell whether it will have more curly hair, so just make sure you communicate to the seller that you would like one with more curly hair. Another plus that comes with the no-shedding is that Bernedoodles are also hypoallergenic, so these are the perfect breed for people with allergies. However, be aware that no dog is ever 100% hypoallergenic, as people are usually allergic to the proteins in their dander and saliva.

    Shedding

Another reason people will refrain from getting a dog and letting them live in the house is all the shedding and hair that comes off the dog. Usually, all surfaces are covered in dog hair, and anyone who visits knows instantly that you have a dog, even if they don’t see your little pooch.

But, when you have a dog like a Bernedoodle, you don’t usually have to worry about shedding as much. There are times when a Bernedoodle does shed a lot like a dog, and whether they do or not depends on what type of hair they have. If their hair is more curly like a poodle, they aren’t going to shed nearly as much hair, and sometimes not even at all. But if they have straighter or wavy hair like a Bernese Mountain dog, they will shed more. Once the puppy is a few weeks old, you can usually tell whether it will have more curly hair, so just make sure you communicate to the seller that you would like one with more curly hair. But if they have straighter or wavy hair like a Bernese Mountain dog, they will shed more. Hence, early assessment of a puppy’s coat can provide insights into its future shedding tendencies. For instance, breeders like Mountain View Bernedoodles often emphasize the importance of understanding these coat variations in order to match with the ideal companion.

Another plus that comes with the no-shedding is that Bernedoodles are also hypoallergenic, so these are the perfect breed for people with allergies. However, be aware that no dog is ever 100% hypoallergenic, as people are usually allergic to the proteins in their dander and saliva.

    Smell

Lastly, people don’t usually like the smell of having a dog stay in their house. Keeping your house smelling good doesn’t have as much to do with the breed because you will still have to bathe your Bernedoodle and make sure they are fully potty trained to keep the messes minimal and easy to clean up. However, since a Bernedoodle has hair instead of fur, it doesn’t absorb the smell as much, and it is much easier to help them stay smelling good.

Bernedoodles are the perfect breed to live with you in your house. They are easier to train, they don’t shed all over the place, and it is also easier to keep them smelling fresh. Plus, you can get three different sizes of Bernedoodles, which means even if you live in a small apartment, you can still get one that won’t take up a ton of space!
