Why Are Dab Rigs Becoming Popular

It is a fact that over the last years cannabis consumption habits have changed a lot thanks to the new devices and inventions that technology brought us. Cannabis has proven to be very beneficial when it comes to treating several health conditions and relieving pain. People are becoming more aware of this and the stigma for cannabis users is slowly beginning to disappear.

If you’re using cannabis, then you’ve probably heard of dab rigs: smoking cannabis concentrate with a specially designed bong. Concentrates of cannabis, hashish oil, or “dabs” are many times stronger than ordinary cannabis buds and have a different taste and effect.

Dabbing is effective, tasty, and almost incomparable to consuming cannabis the old-fashioned way. In addition, they are a much healthier option compared to all others. This makes dab rigs one of the most popular ways to consume cannabis nowadays. The best thing about it is that there are countless dab rig varieties and sizes to choose from and you can easily get one from an online or physical store.

In the text below you find out more about how dab rigs work and why they are better compared to other methods.

    1. What is a dab rig?

Dabs – also called wax, use (BHO) and it is known for their high concentration of THC. It is produced chemically using butane oil. Studies suggest that dabs or BHO may have a THC concentration of 80% compared to traditional cannabis which has a concentration of about 10-15% THC. It is very rich in THC which is why its effects are stronger than any other method of cannabis consumption.

Dabs rigs are created with a simple process that allows the marijuana to dissolve in butane, leaving a rubbery, slightly solid product that contains large amounts of THC.

    2. How does a dab rig work?

To use a dab rig, you need a special bong or a normal bong with a special cup (so-called “banger” or “nail”). Heat this on a gas burner until the cup is hot from the heat, and then let it cool down a bit. Then you take the concentrate and “drown” it with a so-called drowning tool on a hot nail or excavator, causing the concentrate to dissolve and turn into smoke. Smoke accumulation can be improved by a so-called carbohydrate lid that restricts airflow. Now you can start inhaling and enjoying the wonderful taste of your precious concentrate!

    3. Better smoke, better flavor

The flavor and the smoke from a dab rig are incredible and will give you an incomparable, unique experience. Electric dab rigs, in particular, make it easier to maintain a consistent, optimal temperature, allowing the flavor to fully develop and giving you a smoother, more enjoyable session. But this is not the only feature that makes dab rigs the best. They produce thicker smoke and with it, the effects are stronger compared to other methods of cannabis consumption. These characteristics make dab rigs one of the most used and healthiest methods of using cannabis.

    4. Efficiency

Although cannabis is usually consumed through smoking, and sometimes through vape pens, dab rigs use a different process of inhalation. This type of inhaling means that the effects of cannabis are felt immediately.

People use this method in particular because it allows them to feel the effects right away and achieve the desired results. Although the dabbing process is not new, it is still growing in popularity around the world as people are learning about its efficiency.

    Conclusion

In the last few years, a lot of research has shown the benefits of medical cannabis. While the process of smoking dried herbs through joints, bongs, etc. is still popular, more and more people are now looking for even better ways to enjoy the benefits of cannabis.

Scientists attribute the growth of dab rigs to the commercial production of medical marijuana and its legalization in many countries. Both of these factors have led to an increase in the number of educational videos online, as well as a greater presence on social media. Consequently, dab rigs are now becoming increasingly popular.

So, if you are looking for a solution that is different from traditional smoking, consider investing in a high-quality dabbing device.
