The Pentagon which at one point was said to be built strong and impenetrable was recently infiltrated in the most crazy way. A chicken was able to get into the security area of the Pentagon. And how did it get in there? Espionage? Super spy training program? Nah, it just kind of wandered in.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington posted they have taken the fowl into custody. They are not allowed to disclose where she was found, other than that it was a security checkpoint. They’ve named her Henny Penny, inspired by the tale where the chicken thinks the sky is falling.
The hen is a Rhode Island Red, and while she’s been nervous, she has let some people pet her.
And of course to package this up nicely, Jimmy Fallon has created a song about the entire ordeal.
