We are very sorry to report the passing of beloved comedian Louie Anderson. Anderson had been ill, and just yesterday, fellow funnyman Pauly Shore shared the news that things were going well.
He was reportedly there to undergo treatment of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Glenn Schwartz, Anderson’s longtime publicist, confirmed to Deadline.
FX’s “Baskets” garnered Anderson much critical acclaim for his role of Christine, mother [edited from previous version that incorrectly said sister, apologies] of Zack Galifianakis‘s character. He always played it straight, and with such wonderful emotional intelligence.

Anderson, host of “Family Feud” for several years, was 68 years old.
