Apparently we’re getting a live action movie about Scholastic’s large crimson canine, “Clifford the Big Red Dog!” As children of a certain age will recall, Clifford started life as the runt of a litter, and through the love and care of his human Emily Elizabeth, became the titan we know and love today.
This project was actually started by Universal back in 2012, but eventually found it’s way to Paramount Pictures.
Walt Becker (“Van Wilder,” “Wild Hogs“) directs “Clifford,” which stars John Cleese, Darby Camp, Jack Whitehall, Tony Hale, Horatio Sanz, and more.
“Clifford the Big Red Dog” is set to hit theaters on September 17th, 2021.
