Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 social distancing and quarantine, many seniors and other students will miss out on one of life’s memorable milestones: prom.

John Krasinski felt he needed to step up and do something to help out.  As a result, he has decided to host his own virtual prom. On his online show, Some Good News, Krasinski announced that he is going to be the DJ for the online event.

He introduced the event with his own prom picture on Instagram.

The prom will take place today at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.  It will be shown on the platform Youtube Live.  Don’t miss it!

Below is the formal invitation posted on SGN’s Instagram page.

He has also invited a few of his friends like Robert DeNiro, who was the weatherman for “Some Good News”, and his former co-star from “The Office”, Steve Carrell.

As host of “Some Good News”, John Krasinski spreads hope and inspiration with every episode.  Recently, he brought smiles and spread joy by giving health care workers a lifetime’s supply of Boston Red Sox tickets.

Go live a little and join John Krasinski on this big night!

What do you think of this virtual prom?  Are you planning to attend? Let us know in the comments!
