I am still waiting for that blue police box to take me on a star trek to a galaxy far, far away. Until then I will have to content myself with fantasy and sci-fi adventures from books, movies, and TV shows.

Go down the street where you live to a theater near you and catch a special big screen showing of the Academy Award-winning musical My Fair Lady! The film was recently restored for its 50th anniversary so it is even more “loverly” than ever. Turner Classic Movies has scheduled showings of My Fair Lady on February 17 and 20 as part of the 2019 TCM Big Screen Classics Series. Back in 2014, we weren’t exactly sure what to expect from a movie about plastic building blocks. Since then The Lego Movie and Lego Batman have set the bar rather high for films in the franchise, and The Lego Movie Part2 manages to meet those expectations rather well. We then see her get determined and run out into the surging waves. Why? Where is she going? We don’t know. We don’t even know if she succeeds in whatever she is trying. The trailer shifts to an anxious-looking Anna looking out at something on her balcony, and…

Conan the Conqueror. Wow.” The video then pulls back to reveal Arnold Schwarzenegger holding the comic and sitting on a similar throne-like chair with a sword…

Godzilla, King of the Monsters, a sequel to Godzilla (2014), is set to debut May 31. Like the older film Destroy All Monsters (1968), Godzilla, King of the Monsters will have the title monster joined by Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah. The trailers look good and we anticipate seeing a return of so many of our favorite monsters. The hype and excitement around the forthcoming movie may be what has prompted Sony to release a 4K Ultra HD version of its Godzilla (1998) film on May 14 as reported by Movieweb. The new release was remastered in 4K with high dynamic…
