Previously on my review of the Twilight Zone, a comedian got all that he ever wanted but paid the ultimate price. Laughs were plenty, terror was in high supply, nostalgia was nice and seasoned in. All of that turns in slightly different directions as we journey into the review for episode 102 of the Twilight Zone: ‘Nightmare at 30,000 feet’ Don’t Call This A Remake It’s not. I mean in a way it’s one of those “retelling” crap that tries to tackle the same topic as before but ultimately fails. When this episode was announced, I was wary. My toxic…

Fans of the old series, need not worry. What Jordan Peele and Co. have done here is shine a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Beckoning us to take this very edgy and, at times political, journey with a show that hasn’t even begun. With the inaugural episode that you’re able to stream free through YouTube (link HERE), you can sit back and ease yourself into a familiar yet more matured version of the Twilight Zone. Here are my SPOILER review and thoughts on episode 101 of the Twilight Zone: ‘The Comedian’. ‘Tonight, a Comedian died…’ This…

Have you ever read Dante’s Inferno? For those that are unaware, it’s a book of poems dedicated to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s edge. You see, come May 31st, hell will literally rise, and unleash all 9 godforsaken layers. GLUTTONY The food offerings are pretty exciting judging by its menu (here). But to cram that many people into a restaurant and or bar seems nerve-wracking. With the rumored 6-8 hour wait to just even get into the land, I’ll explain later, it’s not exactly easy to get back into the land once you leave. While exotic, how good can…

We’re just barely 90 days into the new year and already there’s an epic film that you may (or may not) have heard of. Considering that 2019 is gonna be one helluva year for films, this one really starts the year off with a… bang. Screw Avengers: Endgame, to hell with Star Wars: Episode IX, the film I’m about to tell you will literally cross the $1 billion domestic box office mark in about a week or so. It took Avengers: Infinity War 11 days, setting the world record. The following film will take a dump on that record. No,…

Disneyland is doing another ‘After Dark’ event after the success of the previous 4 iterations. If you’ve never been, think of it as a themed private party that Disneyland holds from 9pm-1am. However, unlike previous events, this particular event and theme is catered to Disney California Adventure. So what’s the next theme gonna be??? (Spoiler Alert)It’s SUPERHEROES, MARVEL, HEROES NIGHT! The Academy unveiled its 2019 Oscar nominations early Tuesday morning, with The Favourite and Roma leading all films with 10 nods apiece. While that’s cool and all, the real story here is that Black Panther has 7 nominations including ‘Best Picture”. Let’s all be honest here, out of the 8 contenders (BlacKkKlansman, Black Panther, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star Is Born, Vice) the only true winner here, is the King of Wakanda. Personally, I thought Black Panther was snubbed at the recent Golden Globes event and while no disrespect to Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody, Black Panther is just fun, but also provides a lot of…

Bet Matt didn’t see that coming. Netflix announced today that it’s canceling it’s seminal Marvel series ‘Daredevil’ after 3 seasons. This news comes one month removed from season 3’s stellar premiere that saw the introduction of Bullseye. While the announcement is surprising, this could be the saving grace Marvel TV needed. Ever since the inception of Marvel being on the small screen, it’s been struggling to decide whether or not it wants to play in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). ‘Agents of SHIELD’ danced around the fact but never fully got incorporated into it. ‘Inhumans’ was a stain on the…

Being a former caretaker at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, I was privy to a lot of secrets to the house that I love. I guess in a way, the ghosts did follow me home. But they never left… The following stories are true accounts of what happened to me 14 years ago at The Haunted Mansion. December 16th. 2004 A month after my hiring, I found myself at The Haunted…

The night he came HOME… again! In what has to be one of the most anticipated films this year is the remake reboot return of the OG Michael Myers in Halloween (2018). I left the theatre with a smile on my face and a ticket to see it again. Here is your mildly spoilerish rundown… ReShaping a legacy If you don’t know already, this new iteration of Halloween is ret-conning 40 years worth of history by establishing itself as the TRUE sequel to the original movie. Taking place 40 years after the events from the first movie, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) has become basically a…

In my last listicle, I discussed the 5 horror movie staples you should be watching and now I’ve returned from the dead to give you the top 5 movies you should avoid like Hell. As previously stated, this is MY list and it may not necessarily be yours. That’s fine and okay. If you feel like I’ve missed something, be sure to blurb it in the comments below.  And now, ON TO THE LIST! 5) Anything Rob Zombie Has Made I was going to write in his versions of Halloween, both of them. But then I realized that all of his…
