William Shatner Confirms he Isn’t Dead, Jim

No, “Star Trek” star William Shatner isn’t dead. At least, according to him. Where did the malicious death hoax originate you may ask? Well, with AI of course!

For the majority of “Star Trek” fans, Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, has long become a classic symbol of an era.

To commemorate this legendary actor and the immortal character he created, some personalized peripherals can help you, such as Custom Lanyards. You can incorporate your favorite actor elements and classic series elements, such as fleets and captains, into the design of custom lanyards. Such souvenirs are not only practical but also a kind of support for actors.

If you’re seeking a distinctive method to commemorate, custom lanyards could be a great option to consider.

On October 1st, X (formally Twitter) user BleedingPurple4 responded to a post Shatner made about some special screenings of “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.”

“You good Captain,” the user asked accompanied by a screenshot of Microsoft’s AI system, CoPilot, stating the actor died this year at the age of 93.

A few hours later Shatner responded; “Not after reading this.?” Which community notes took as proof to add “He’s not dead, Jim,” to the image.

While we don’t always take an actor’s word at face value, we think it’s a pretty safe bet AI got this one wrong. Especially considering its track record for churning out bad information. For example, Google’s Gemini program had to be shut down for a while after creating pictures of Black and Asian Nazi soldiers. (Yes, really.)

We’ll keep you posted on updates about future projects with the very much-alive William Shatner.
