Tom Hanks, is my mother’s secret crush right next to Tom Brady but we won’t talk about that. I love Tom Hanks ever since I saw him in the movie BIG and I didn’t realize just how many important roles he has played, including a few of my personal favorite. Jimmy from A League of Their Own, Allen from Splash, and Ray from The Burbs to name just a few. Last Sunday the Golden Globes were in full swing and Tom Hanks received the time honored Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Yeah I did shed a few tears. No one deserves this award more than Tom Himself. Even Tom shed a few tears himself.
The Cecil B. DeMille Award is an honorary Golden Globe Award bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment”. There’s no one more deserving of this award then Tom Hanks who was recently in Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Congratulations Tom!
