Right. It’s been a while. And there’s no real excuse for that except… well there’s really no need for me to even think of an excuse. Because this blog is for me. Only me. And, well, maybe you too (but we’ll get to that). The whole point of this minimalist blog (of no real intent) is simply that I need a place to document the trials and tribulations of… life. Especially life as a web programmer internet guy. Which I am. So here’s the deal:

As a web programmer internet guy, I struggle with a lot of complicated stuff. Most of which I solve… eventually… by Googling around, and by trial and error, and by *gasp* using logic. And most of the time, the answers can fit nicely within the confines of my skull. However, sometimes that space gets a bit cramped and I need to offload some knowledge to a secondary brain… an internet brain. Hence this blog. It’s a dumping ground really. It’s a place to put all those little snippets and details that I’ll probably need to access in the future into an indexed and searchable mechanism. And there you have it.

But wait, there’s more. I’m thinking that if I’m having all this trouble figuring this or that out, chances are someone else is too. So why not get the problem (and hopefully the solution) out there on the great big internets so you (yes, you) can benefit? Why not indeed. So I’m using this blog as an opportunity to take what I’ve discovered and put it out in an understandable (mostly) and findable (hopefully) way.

So learn from my mistakes, benefit from my research, save yourself the headache… or don’t. That’s okay too. What’s important here is that… umm… yeah.
